IRVING, Texas — The College Football Playoff announced today that fans and followers of the former Facebook and Twitter sites used for the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) Every Game Counts and @Every Game Counts will be redirected to the new sites created for the playoff era as of today.
The Facebook page is College Football Playoff and the Twitter handle is @CFBPlayoff.
As of Friday, January 10, 2014 — the Facebook page Every Game Counts had 186,000 likes, and the Twitter handle @EveryGameCounts had close to 15,000 followers.
The BCS National Championship Game between No. 1 Florida State and No. 2 Auburn simply dominated the popular social media site Twitter on Monday night, as it was the subject of five of the top ten trending topics, according to Trends24.
The Trends24 site reported at approximately 10:45 Eastern Time on January 6, 2014 that the BCS-related topics in the top ten were #BCSChampionship; #FSUvsAUB; Touchdown Auburn; Tre Mason and Jameis Winston.
