IRVING, TEXAS – The College Football Playoff (CFP) today launched a digital partnership with SIDEARM Sports, a software and technology provider that powers websites, mobile applications, live stats, social presence and video streaming for athletic programs across the country.
“The digital world is important to us, and we are pleased to be working with an industry leader,” said Bill Hancock, Executive Director of the CFP. “With the help of SIDEARM, we look forward to expanding the reach of our digital presence.”
Founded in 1996, SIDEARM Sports currently serves as the web provider for more than 900 partners, including 225 NCAA Division I institutions and six Football Bowl Subdivision conferences.
“The College Football Playoff is one of the biggest brands and events in collegiate athletics and we are elated to have the opportunity to work with the CFP,” said Jeff Rubin, President and CEO of SIDEARM Sports. “We are looking forward to a long, successful partnership and are very excited to launch the new digital home of the CFP.”
The official website of the CFP, www.collegefootballplayoff.com, will continue to provide comprehensive information on the four-team event, including details on the selection committee rankings, Playoff Semifinals, the national championship game, as well as all championship week ancillary events. The user-friendly platform will also highlight social and video content, while providing news and media resources.
A new, rebranded CFP mobile app will launch in the fall, prior to the announcement of the first selection committee rankings on Tuesday, October 31. The app will be free of charge, and available for both Apple and Android users.
