Allison Doughty brings over 20 years of experience in the sports industry, specializing in event planning and hospitality services. As a founding staff member of the College Football Playoff (CFP) in 2013, she was instrumental in creating and implementing policies and procedures that have helped establish the CFP as a landmark event in sports. At the CFP, Doughty manages creating, designing, developing and executing CFP events, overseeing hospitality initiatives and VIP programming while directing hotel sourcing and procurement for all CFP games and events.
Before her tenure at the CFP, Doughty spent seven years at the Atlantic Coast Conference, where she held various positions and ultimately serving as the ACC's Director of Football Operations and Event Management. In this role, she led strategic planning, credentialing, event and officiating operations, scheduling and marketing for all ACC football initiatives. She also managed the ACC Legends program, which honors former student-athletes. Doughty's career began at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and the University of Virginia athletic department.
Doughty is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, Women Leaders in Sports, and a Sports Management Institute (SMI) graduate. Outside of her professional work, she is a member of the BizBash Sports Advisory Board, chair of the Dream On 3 DFW Area Advisory Board, and board chair of the UVA Club of DFW. She also works closely with the Ronald McDonald House, the Birthday Party Project, and other charitable community organizations.
Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Doughty received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in sports administration from Ohio University. Her passion for sports, which she has pursued since infancy, is inspired by her father, a sportswriter of over 50 years.
