Rich Clark, Executive Director of the College Football Playoff (CFP), announced today that Tim Frick has been named the CFP's Chief Financial Officer.

Frick joined the CFP in 2016 serving as Director of Finance and Business Operations. In this role, he has overseen the organization's daily finance and accounting functions, human resources administration, risk management, contract management, and merchandising operations.

"Tim has been an invaluable member of the CFP leadership team, and this promotion reflects the trust and respect he has earned throughout our organization," said Clark. "His financial expertise and strategic leadership have helped guide the CFP through a period of tremendous growth, and I look forward to his continued contributions as our Chief Financial Officer."

"Entering my 11th year with the CFP, I am honored by the opportunity to serve as Chief Financial Officer and grateful for the confidence our CFP Board of Managers and Management Committee have placed in me," said Frick. "It has been a privilege to support the CFP's growth, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our outstanding staff and partners as we build on the organization's success."

Prior to joining the CFP, Frick spent four years with Baker Hughes, a publicly-traded oilfield services company, where he held positions in internal audit and corporate finance. He also spent two years at public accounting firm Grant Thornton and began his professional career serving as Business and Ticket Manager for the Big 12 Conference. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Frick brings extensive experience in accounting, finance, and business operations.

Frick is a 2006 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance.

Frick replaces Dave Marmion, who earlier this spring was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

About the College Football Playoff
The College Football Playoff (CFP) is the competition that crowns the true national champion in college football. The format of the CFP is built on a 12-team bracket. The University of Notre Dame will be included in the playoff if it is ranked among the top 12 teams in the final CFP rankings.
