Prior to games being played, some were saying this was an off week of college football. We're here to let you know that this week proved there are no off weeks in this sport.
Utes stay unbeaten in win over Houston
Utah is one of three undefeated squads after this weekend, but it wasn't all fun and games to start with. Houston went up 10-0 in the middle of the third quarter late Saturday night, but the Utes stormed back, outscoring the Cougars 21-3 from that point on.
Utah quarterback Devon Dampier had 150+ passing yards and 150+ rushing yards, along with two touchdowns to help lift the Utes to victory.
Texas back in the win column
The Texas Longhorns were coming off of back-to-back late losses to Oklahoma and Florida, but Saturday night they got their get back against Ole Miss in Austin.
A hot start saw them take a 21-point lead, although that didn't last as the Rebels clawed their way back to tie the game. The Longhorns stayed resilient and a late Arch Manning touchdown run sealed the victory.
UCF stuns BYU at the Bounce House
The Acrisure Bounce House definitely was bouncy on Saturday afternoon. So was the game itself.
The Cougars and Knights scored a combined 70 points and over 700 total yards of offense. A back-and-forth contest kept the country on its toes to say the least.
The matchup needed double overtime to settle it, as the Knights took the win.
Cincinnati downs Texas Tech in Nippert Stadium
J.C. French IV threw for four touchdowns on Saturday as the Cincinnati Bearcats defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders 37-24. The Bearcats defense held Texas Tech 3-for-15 on third down and forced three turnovers.
This was Texas Tech's first loss of the season.
South Carolina defeats Tennessee in Columbia
For the second time in a row, the Gamecocks upset Tennessee in Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks trailed by seven with under five minutes to go, but a late touchdown run by LaNorris Sellers, a forced fumble, and a walk-off field goal gave South Carolina the huge victory.
Minnesota brings home the Floyd of Rosendale
The Gophers had a last-second win on Saturday, defeating Iowa 13-10 to bring home the Floyd of Rosendale for the first time since 2023 and the second time in 12 years.
This was the Gophers second big-time win at home this season, also having defeated Michigan earlier in the year.
Badgers jumping around after win over USC
Wisconsin held the USC Trojans to a staggering seven points on Saturday night. The Trojans, who are known as a high-flying offense, racked up 241 total yards and two turnovers in the loss.
This was USC's second loss, and Wisconsin improves to 5-2 on the year, 3-1 in the Big Ten.
