Leslie Van Dyke joined the College Football Playoff staff in May 2023 as its Assistant Director of Stadium and Game Operations. With over 15 years’ experience in athletics – including a decade at the intercollegiate level – Van Dyke helps manage all aspects of game operations around first-round games and the national championship game. She came to the CFP after working as the Senior Director of Event Management at Purdue University from 2021-23.
Van Dyke began her career in event operations at her alma mater, Iowa, before becoming Director of Events and Operations at Illinois State. She then spent four years helping create and manage two startup companies in the youth and sports complex industry in Bettendorf, Iowa and St. Louis, Missouri, before returning to collegiate athletics at Purdue.
Van Dyke is a native of Bettendorf, Iowa and a two-time graduate of the University of Iowa, collecting a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management and a master’s degree in Sport Management. She serves on the Board of Directors for Collegiate Event and Facility Management Associate (CEFMA) and is a member of Women Leaders in College Sports.
