Week three of the college football season is in the books. Last-second finishes, broken records and big conference victories stole the show.
Ole Miss defeats LSU in Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford
The Rebels and Tigers delivered an instant classic in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday night. The game marked LSU head coach Lane Kiffin's first return to Oxford since coaching there for the past six seasons.
After Ole Miss went up 24-7 at half, LSU stormed back to tie up the game in the fourth quarter. Trinidad Chambliss and the Rebels proceeded to march down the field in a 13-play, 75-yard drive to grab the lead back. The Tigers didn't go away, getting into the redzone, but failing to convert on a fourth-and-goal, which sealed the victory for Ole Miss.
Louisville gets big win over SMU at home
The Cardinals grabbed a conference win over the Mustangs on Saturday, improving to 2-1 on the season. While SMU already had a conference win over Florida State, this game was Louisville's first conference game.
Both offenses were flying high racking up 400+ total yards, but the three interceptions the Cardinals forced on SMU was the difference.
Texas Tech defeats Houston in Lubbock
The Texas Tech-Houston game came down to the final drive, where the Cougars needed a touchdown and a two-point conversion to tie the game.
Conner Weigman's extraordinary last-ditch effort towards the endzone got the Cougars the touchdown, but the Red Raiders took the victory denying the preceding two-point conversion.
Miami's Darian Mensah sets record Friday night
The Canes were tested on Friday night in Winston-Salem, defeating Wake Forest 33-20. Darian Mensah was the star racking up two ACC records:

The Kentucky Wildcats might have the biggest upset from week three, storming into Kyle Field and taking down the Texas A&M Aggies, picking up Will Stein's first SEC victory as head coach of the program. The Wildcats had zero turnovers, while forcing two on the Aggies.

College football is in London! The Sun Devils picked up a conference win at Wembley Stadium for the inaugural Union Jack Classic, defeating the Jayhawks 24-17. Despite the victory, Kansas outgained the Sun Devils by almost 200 yards.
Vanderbilt forces last-second fumble to triumph to victory
The Commodores picked up a non-conference victory on Saturday in a wild fashion. While trying to run out the clock, Vanderbilt forced NC State to fumble the football in the endzone, taking the lead as time expired.
Gators pick up first SEC victory under coach Sumrall
In a battle of new SEC head coaches, Jon Sumrall and Florida defeated Alex Golesh and Auburn 44-39 on Saturday night. The Gators were in the lead for the majority of the game; the Tigers' late comeback surge fell short.

Northwestern defeated Colorado 41-7 in a battle of undefeated teams on Saturday. The Wildcats head to Bloomington in week four to face off with the defending CFP National Champions, Indiana.
Toledo gets OT victory over Temple
The Toledo Rockets picked up a late victory against the Owls on Saturday. After Toledo got in the endzone in overtime, Temple scored six but failed on the two-point conversion attempt going for victory.
Toledo quarterback John Alan Richter was 36-51 through the air and had 429 passing yards.
