  • Named Pac-10 Coach of the Year in 1995 and 1996.
  • Former assistant football coach at five FBS institutions (Stanford, Rice, North Carolina State University, Michigan State University and Central Michigan University). 
  • 1977 Big Ten Medal of Honor Winner.
